Laura Bassitt
Let me start by introducing myself and my company, Grand Memories Travel Agency, a division of Tons of Fun Travel. My interest in travel began in 1992 when I independently planned my first group event and then continued to plan many yearly events with as many as 52 people. In March of 2015, I decided to take my travel hobby to a professional level and joined Tons of Fun Travel as an Independent Agent.
My husband and I have been married for over 37 years, we have 2 wonderful adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and a precious granddaughter. In addition to my travel business, I am the Fiscal Officer for the Village of Lafayette. My passion outside of travel is being a volunteer Fire Fighter/EMT with the Lafayette-Jackson
Township Fire Department, camping and reading.
All About Me
In 2018 I completed my Certified Travel Associates training with The Travel Institute, which is the oldest and
most respected training organization in the travel industry. I continually take courses, attend seminars, and
visit as many destinations as I can, to be able to extend my knowledge and keep current on destinations to
best assist all of my clients.
The Caribbean is one of my most favorite destinations for relaxation, I cannot get enough of that turquoise
water! I have visited an extensive number of all-inclusive resorts on many islands to help fit my clients to the
best option for them. The Caribbean Islands is a great place for celebrations, honeymoons, group travel and
destination weddings, and I am here to make that journey an easy process for you. In addition to the
Caribbean, Alaska, and Hawaii rate at the top as being favorite locations of mine. Visiting Europe to expand
on my studies is now on my short list. I have a strong passion for planning group trips as well as escorting
